I cannot believe how quickly time moves. I remember driving down Felicita to go to school one morning thinking how OLD 18 sounded. And 21 sounded even OLDER! I just figured that there was no way that I was going to make it to 18 years old. Two years seemed like a lifetime, and it's not that I thought I was going to die or anything, I just couldn't fathom two more years. It seemed like I had already lived a lifetime and had a lifetime of experiences. Needless to say, I am 22 and about to graduate COLLEGE, and I can't believe I am here...just 6 years ago I never even thought I would make it to 18!
With that being said, I cannot wait to get started on my life. Not my life in college, not my life working at the Y, my real adult life. I've been in college and lived the college life for 4 years (going on 5) now and I am very ready to move on. Lately I have been doing a lot of research on Grad Schools. I have found several programs that I am really interested in and I can't wait to apply!! After just one class in my undergraduate career, I decided that I had to be a special education teacher. Why? you may ask. Well, I think that it takes a special person to teach special ed. First of all, I want to make a difference. I want to help kids. Special Education students need a lot of attention and watching them learn is such a rewarding job. Anyone can teach regular education kids, but I don't think everyone can teach Special Ed. I know I can do it. I also think you need to have a lot of patience. I have not always been the most patient person...my family and friends could tell you this. But I have learned patience. I learned it through work and through ADPi. Working in a low-income neighborhood requires a lot of patience, as does being in a sorority. So I am learning.
I am busy trying to get good grades, raise my cumm GPA for grad school, and working to save money to move out of this beautiful city, also known as San Bernardino. Hence why I don't go out very often. It's not that I don't enjoy doing that anymore, it's just that my priorities have changed, and I don't feel like I should have to justify my reasoning for not doing something. I am ecstatic about my future and what is in store for me soon! And that is really all that matters.

Guilty by association...
Sorry little blog readers for the delay in blogging- I have been without the Internet!!
So this blog is going to be short and sweet. It is inspired by two of my dear friends, Erica and Lindsey.
I understand, in grade school, when you hate me because you hate my friend. I am sure we are all guilty of that at one point or another. Clearly, we were stupid. When you grow up you begin to look at the individual. I fully believe that sometimes there are people that you don't get along with. But why, when you are a fully grown college graduate, do you judge others based on your perception of just one person? I understand you may not like me because of the things I do or don't do. That gives you NO reason to dislike the people I associate with. They are their own individuals and are fair game. Judge them as you wish. They aren't perfect, and they have flaws, but that doesn't mean that they deserve unfair treatment. If you get to know them and don't appreciate their company still, please feel free to 86 them from your friend circle. Otherwise, grow up and act like the adult that you are. And remember, I don't hate you because of who you friends with. I hate you because you are a dumb bitch as well. Words to live by. :)

Freedom of Speech
In light of recent events, I felt it was necessary to blog about this...the first Amendment. Everyone knows that the first Amendment is FREEDOM OF SPEECH. So what does this really mean? Are there limitations? Who has the authority to tell you what you can and cannot say?
Here is the legal defintion of Freedom of Speech:
-The right, guaranteed by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, to express beliefs and ideas without unwarranted government restriction
According to Wikipedia:
- Freedom of speech is the freedom to express yourself vocally without censorship and/or limitation.
When referencing Freedom of Speech or Expression on the Internet:
- Some of the dialogue on the Internet surely tests the limits of conventional discourse. Speech on the Internet can be unfiltered, unpolished, and unconventional, even emotionally charged, sexually explicit, and vulgar – in a word, “indecent” in many communities. But we should expect such speech to occur in a medium in which citizens from all walks of life have a voice.
Now that that has been established, who thinks that they have the right to control what people say on the Internet?
This particular blog stems from a couple different occurances. We will start with the most well-known. College ACB, or my Fan Page as I like to call it.
- College ACB is a site, similar to Juicy Campus or even Rate My Professor, where students can "vent" about other students on college campuses world-wide. As flattered as I am to have 43 posts dedictaed to myself, I get really irriated reading them because MOST of them aren't true. Sure I may be a bitch and I may lose my patience from time to time, but I am not dating my brother nor am I 230 lbs. My feelings about Freedom of Speech vary on this particular topic because while it is legal to voice your opinion, you are also slandering someone's name. The issue of slander aside, people can continue to express their thoughts about myself and my colleagues, and I will continue to express mine through this blog. Becuase I have the FREEDOM to do that.
The second reason for this blog is my friend and yours, FACEBOOK.
- I generally update my status to reflect my day, my life, etc. Well occasionally I like to update it with witty things that friends say, quotes that inspire me, or even jokes between my friends and I. Recently I updated my Facebook status and I used the F word. Fuck. Heaven forbid. I tagged my friends in the status and posted it. Well shortly after, I receivced a message. "Please refrain from using such vulgar language in your status updates. I do not appreciate it and it makes you look like a bad example of what you are trying to portray." I am a 22 year old woman who can use the F word if I choose to. My parents are both friends with me on Facebook, so if I am comfortable enough saying that knowing that they will read it, it shouldn't be an issue. It's your CHOICE to be my friend on Facebook, as well as your choice to read my status. With that being said, who are you to tell me that my status is inappropriate? What happened to Freedom of Speech? Expressing oneself without censorship or limitation?
Please do not try to be my parent via the Internet. I will continue to post what I feel appropriate and you can choose to read it or not. If you don't appreciate it, then please, by all means, don't read it. There are many things on the Internet that I don't believe in. Child pornography for example, Picture Brides and the intentional harming of animals. I know they exist and can be easily accessed on the Internet, but I opt to not access them. You should do the same. Thank you for your time.

Today I...
read this...
Confidence, Trust, Hope
Once, all village people decided to pray for rain. On the day of prayer all people gathered and only one boy came with an Umbrella;
that’s Confidence
***
Trust should be like the feeling of a one year old baby when you throw him in the air, he laughs……because he knows you will catch him;
that’s Trust
***
Every night we go to bed, we have no assurance to get up alive the next morning but still you have plans for the coming day
that’s Hope
***
craved this...
*YUMMM!!
found this...
(thanks to C.Kemp)
*Pick your interests and "start stumbling"! It will show you all sorts of interesting things that you would have never known about!! I could "stumble" around on here for hoursssss. Or just during Psyc. 100..oops!!
loved this...
learned this...
In Psyc 100 I learned about phobias. My professor told us that there was a website where you could see an alphabatized list of all the phobias.
http://phobialist.com/#A-
*So after we read page after page of these phobias, I continued to read them. By the time I got to the last page, the 'Z' phobias, I found...Zemmiphobia- Fear of the great mole rat. It made me think..who comes up with a phobia this ridiculous? And then I realized that the answer was SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY HAS THAT PHOBIA. Someone is actually afraid of 'the great mole rat'. So then I was wondering what exactly was so scary. Needless to say, we were cryyying from laughing so hard.

When country comes to town...
Last night we saddled up our horses, put on our hats and dusted off our boots. Tim McGraw and Lady A. It was shenanigans from the beginning all the way till the very end. Let's recap!
1. It was far too hot to curl two weaves.
2. It was far too hot to play beer pong outside, so we opted to hang out on the bunk.
3. Sal y Limon is my favorite addition to any alcoholic beverage now. [thanks Lindsey]
4. Margaritas were a great choice.
5. The driving dillemma..whoops!!
6. Tailgating was magnificent.7. All I really wanted was a cold beer and a hot dog...
9. I traded two men, two keystones for a delicious hamburger. I clearly won.
10. Shot gunning was invented at a country concert I'm almost positive.
11. Lady A..front row..was breathtaking.
12. If not everyone at San Manuel saw my butt, thanks to Miss. Shannon Willis, I would be awfully surprised.
13. My crazy antics got me lost, found, and lost again.14. Kudos to the nice gentleman who sat with me while I was crying because I told him "I am lost. I don't know where my friends are," all while sitting criss-cross applesauce in the grass.
15. Holly Hart, you are my kind of rain.
16. I found my old, Lindsey's new, Diamond Ball Date. Drew to the rescue.
17. We danced, when the stars went blue, even though Timmy didn't sing it.
18. Lesson learned: you will drink too much, you will get lost, your phone will NOT work, and you will cry. It's all in a days work. :)
19. I had the best day.
20. Tim and Lady A ran my show.
I laughed. I cried. I sang. I danced. I got lost. I got found. I hugged. I kissed. I ran. I fell. I drank. I ate. I smiled.
I guess that's just the cowGIRL in me.

Fail of the Week
EPIC FAIL:
While I was at the gym this morning, working on my fitness, switching my attention back and forth from Sports Center to the Spelling Bee, I noticed this on CNN. This bitch says she had ONE vodka-cran. WHAT A LIAR! Mind you, it is 6:13 AM. Sooo..did she JUST have that vodka-cran this morning [alcoholic], or is she really still that drunk from ONE drink last night [lightweight]? Homegirl, you were smashedddd.

Southern CA
Southern California has thee most beautiful weather!! I am so blessed to live where the sun shines 90% of the time. As I'm sure you'll find as you continue reading, my life is a little bit crazy and chaotic. When the B.S. makes you dizzy, take a walk or ride your bike. I went on a bike ride this weekend, and I felt refreshed. Try it!
And now I'm off to catch some rays at the pool with Miss VC.
:)
